Job Description
Perform protective, preventative, safety and security related enforcement functions touring facility to ensure the safety and well-being of customers. Implements and monitors all security operations in accordance with all applicable laws and company policies in a courteous and restrained manner in coping with emergencies, undesired conduct, disturbances and threats.
Major responsibilities include:

Maintaining security of premises by conducting inside and outside patrols of the secure facility

Maintaining a professional appearance, uniform and manner at all times

Monitoring surveillance systems for intrusion and unauthorized activities

Controlling access of employees and/or visitor
-
Responding to intrusion, fire, and health/safety related incidents

Maintaining legible duty and visitor logs

Greet visitors in a friendly and professional manner

Coordinating with police, fire and emergency medical personnel

Other specific duties as may be required by the contract
Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required
-
Previous security experience preferred (prior military desirable)

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Proficient in basic computer skills

Ability to quickly learn the layout of the facility, function rooms, and some knowledge of the city and surrounding areas

Ability to stand, walk and/or sit and continuously perform essential job functions for duration of shift

Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, kneeling, and walking significant distances between and within buildings on the property

Must have the ability to communicate in English

Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
